Diddy Kong Help Needed!!!

So, I've been recently trying to pick up Diddy Kong as a min, and I've ran into some issues, mainly involving the monkey flip. I've been trying to get the mc from the monkey flip with the banana. I can get the b-reverse easily, but most of the time when I do it it just does the b-reverse, but it doesn't change my momentum. After about an hour in training mode of trying to figure out why most of the time I don't get the momentum change, I figured I'd come looking for help. If you can offer any help at all, it would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: Just kidding, I got some help from the Diddy Kong discord that solved my problems. Feel kinda bad posting this now, so if a mod sees this delete it please xD
