If there's going to be a Smash tournament for Brawl, you should probably use the SBR (Smash Back Room) recommended ruleset.

DragonFighter - Head over to the Regional Zones section of the forum. Look at other threads for tournaments, the rules used, guidelines, etc. Try to emulate what you see there in your OP (original post). You will have much more success, and I guarantee if you run it using Smash World Forums rules, you will have a lot of (really good) players show up.
