dashing then shake smashing down? Seems a lot easier than the GC controller methods, although it does take a few tries to master it. Nunchuk combo = not useless?

Snake's is, by far, the easiest one to perform and the most effective one, too. Hell, you can even do it with just the control stick.

Nah, I mean just dash, then shake smash down (nunchuk combo). Try it out for yourself, it's really easy to mortar slide without hitting someone first this way.

we need a thread that lists every single possible mortar slide tech possible and then have it stickied...its ******** how many threads there are asking the same question..."how do you mortar slide...?" or any other kind of mortar slide...
