Smash 3DS Did the 3DS version curb/lessen anyone else's hype?

I kinda am burned out by the 3DS version after putting in over 52 hours into it.

I still have the game preordered, and I still WANT to get it, it's just...it's kinda the same game (more or less) as the 3DS version.

I feel like I should feel more hype/excitement over this, but there's like...a little interest.

:( I don't know what to do.

Actually it works the opposite for me. I've put tons of time into the 3DS version and still enjoy it. Seeing how I've had that much fun even though the 3DS version pales in comparison to the home console just multiplies the hype.

Nope, accentuated it in fact.

I'm getting sick of the Circle Pad and lack of C-Stick for competitive play, and overall it is a little more difficult to control on 3DS.

On top of that, the Wii U version has better looking stages and all of that jazz, so yeah, really excited for it.

I'm still gonna get it, don't get me wrong. It's just that I don't really have people over that often anymore, and my tons of fun with Brawl was mostly from playing with buddies.

I need people to play with, lol.

If you have a good internet connection you can hook up with people here to partly mitigate that problem. I won't always have someone to play with myself.

Sweet. Do you mind playing with me? :o

Also, anyone worried that the Wii U version might bore them?

I mean, I somewhat feel that Nintendo made a mistake. The versions are virtually the same outside of some differences, but the majority of people WILL buy both (like Nintendo was aiming for). Idk.

I don't mind (...provided both our internet connections work out).

Also the two versions have a ton of differences. I don't think I'll be bored.

Only slightly. HD graphics, the soundtrack, new stages, and being able to play with my siblings is enough to make the Wii U version feel like a different game, though. My hype is slowly rising again.

I've put in 180 hours into Smash 3DS so far, and I'm not bored of it. In fact, still really hyped for the Wii U version. Though perhaps the Wii U version will leave much to be desired for someone who's already gotten to play the game a ton like myself.

Honestly, Rosalina's gown physics and hair physics are enough for me to be excited for the Wii U version. And taking HD screenshots, of course! :p

Less hyped? Nope.

I still enjoy the 3DS version and can't wait to play the infinitely superior Wii U version. Playing the 3DS one just keeps me excited for the Wii U one.

Also, a suggestion would be to put down the 3DS version for awhile and play some other games and do other things. That's what I've done and it's kept me happy all around so I have other things to enjoy and don't get tired of Smash.

Plus, I guess unlike most people, I actually really enjoy playing Smash alone. Not having people around to play with doesn't bother me much.

Then again, I also have a lot of friends I can call over or head to in case I actually do want to play with them in person, so I guess I've just got all of my bases covered. XD

You should work to get yours covered, too. That, or do other things to make up for it.
