Did someone else invent this technique? If not, I'm calling it stormclouding.

Edit: bottom line, I haven't created anything new after all. Oh well. Thanks for your time!

I came up with this on my own and don't know if it's common knowledge because it's not in the advanced techniques compendium as far as I know (I'd love to see it added). In combat, I use it to cover ground horizontally while simultaneously adding needles to my hand, rather than being stuck in place for charging. I think it might tie in to sheik's evasive game and it's definitely a neat thing to do while tracking down someone you launched who's taking a minute to come back. The short hop version is better guarded and most likely the bread and butter version of the technique. The long hop version will probably be more situational.

Upon landing you can cancel, shield, or instant-roll, of course.

If it turns out I'm the inventor, I hope I'm remembered for it! Wishful thinking.

-Dashing- short hop needle charge with a nice little cancel at the end. But yes, I suppose that's what I'm doing. It's useful as heck, takes at least a little thumbwork and imagination, and I hadn't seen anyone else use or talk about it. So I'm pleased with it. I'm sorry you aren't. But I gave it a name.

Concerning the name, why do you call it Stormclouding? I'm trying to see where Storm or Cloud comes into a short hop needle charge, but I can't.

The neutral b is officially named needle storm, and it's referenced in other accepted technique names like rising storm. So I call it stormclouding because it's gathering a storm while floating above the ground.

Creative name but it'll be hard to get "stormclouding" generally accepted as a replacement to simply calling it a short hop needle charge.

I dont think this is an invention. Just shirt hop needles. What purpose does it have versus empty short hops or attacks?

Yes, yes, I get it. I've been poorly received. I'd delete the thread if I could.
