DesireBlogHD#1 - A blog straight from my phone (Except this time because Quick Office won't let me copy+paste between apps with the free version)

Okay so I've decided i want to try and blog once a week. lately I've been thinking that I should begin a Wordpress blog about technology with uni friends, but idk, maybe down the track. So here's the deal. I'm going to write blogs every week about stuff and things, and compose it from my Desire HD.

Why? Because I might as well make this currently 1 hour commute to work more productive.

So I guess to introduce myself, my name is Anthony, I'm 20, turning 21 in May and I study IT whilst working full time in a government department. I have a beautiful girlfriend of roughly 10 months and we're about to move in together. It's exciting. I've never left the nest and she's never had the opportunity to live somewhere where she's felt like she's had an equal say. The place is a 3 bedroom house affair just off the main road through Sunnybank in Brisbane, here in Australia. This and obtaining my license I also lay the primary blame on for having less time for smash lately. I've had to consciously put it all to the side to work towards them. At the start of the year I didn't think it would be possible, but now I'm a couple of days off having my drivers license and living in a 3 bedroom (rental) house. I guess you could call it an investment. Our smash scene at the moment has no open, regular meets, and that is because nobody can or is willing to host them. It's been a source of frustration for me. Because of the lack of meets, there's been a waning interest, so I hope ill be able to dig it out of the hole it's in at the moment.

Uni is kind of balls at the moment, with vague and uncooperative group members, but what else is new. At the very least, I only study one actual subject because I am a part time student. My job counts towards the completion of my degree too, so that makes 2 subjects a semester whilst working full-time. This semester I'm studying information systems consulting. So it's all about winning it work for your firm. Though The skills are quite transferable. It's all speeches and proposal writing. I'll never watch a prime minister speech quite the same way again. Speeches are all in the hands. Or so my lecturer says.

Work is good, but given that I work in a corporate (not to mention government) environment, its probably a subject ill steer away from. lol.

Well I'm not sure what else I wanted to talk about. My Desire HD is a pretty fun phone. Bigger screen, lower res than iPhone, but I like it. Recently read about the usb debugging glitch with this phone, turned the setting on and instant performance boost. My only gripe with this phone is the lack of accessories big enough for the thing. I spent $30 on a hard cover and a clip on wallet holder type thing. Both broke soon after. The cover broke because I dropped it and even inside the wallet, the plastic cracked. I've since put a silicone case on it. The holder broke because the clip broke from wear and tear :/ I took it back and eventually managed to get it swapped for a different holder that I'm quite happy with. I wear it in a holder because I don't like it in my pocket. I have a friend who had cancer in his leg so I tend to be a bit careful with keeping my phone away from me. I think USA's safety commission on radio signals and what not say your phone should be 2.5 cm (you convert it to silly USA measurement) from your body. So girls are probably fine with their hand bags and what not, but us dudes need worry since its probably primarily in your pocket.

Apple blocked a radioactivity monitor app. Take that as you will.

I might finish this off Ray William Johnson style and ask a question for people to answer. I'll include my favourite answer next week.

Q: What should I do when I get my driver's license?
