Smash 3DS Demo downloading question.

Will the demo become available the moment it turns 12 tonight?

Similarly, will the full game become downloadable Oct 2nd the moment it turns 12?

I'll check when the e-shop updates weekly in europe, which should be in 1-2 hours when it's 3-4pm in belgium. That should give you an equal idea for the american demo.

For your first question. I'm not sure, but I think it does, however. The demo codes will expire as soon as it becomes the 19th.

As for your second question. Yes. At least this is the case for most games so I'd assume it would apply for Smash as well.

Nope, only when you shut the game down yourself. So yeah, have it on sleep mode if you wish.

The demo will release around noon, Eastern Standard Time, Friday (eShop releases usually get delayed to 5 or 6 minutes later, for some reason), and we should be getting 30 uses for it.
In Sleep Mode, you can continue with one use, but 30 uses in 14 days is no problem for me, at 2 per day, plus 2.
As for the full game, midnight, October 3rd, digitally, and when stores open Oct. 3rd for the physical version.

Yeah the special demo version had unlimited uses as it was a special treat for a select number of club Nintendo and silver membership (that's what it was called right?) users to give them as well as their friends an early taste of the game a week before the demo would come out for the general public. So they where given unlimited uses as a special bonus.

I think 30 uses would be about fine for an about 15 day wait for the full release, so long as you don't shut and boot up the demo too many times and make use of the sleep mode then you'll be fine until then I'd imagine.

With club nintendo demo here, never forced to close the demo. So yes, you should theoretically be able to just leave your 3DS on until the 3rd.

Oh wait, now that I recall. The only time you're actually forced to shut down the demo is whenever you want to use Miiverse or the Internet Browser (Or want to open other games and apps but that's normal), so so long as you're not interesting in using these, you're fine to keep it up otherwise.

I'll probably only shut it down whenever I want to use StreetPass Miis for Puzzle Swap and Find Mii. Beyond that, no reason to ever shut down Smash. The 30-open limit should last far beyond 2 weeks for me.

To be frank, I was kinda hoping it would be midnight, too. I'll be back at a place where I can download it at around 1:00-1:30, so I can try then. If the eShop servers haven't crashed by then, at least.

Everyone is worrying about the 30 open limit! You can still open it twice a day and won't run out of opens until after the 3rd, so I think it'll just be fine if you... act... NORMAL about your opens!

You can start the game up 30 times, but once you start it up once, you can play as long and as many games as you please until you hit home and select to close the game. So basically leaving the game on the CSS and closing the 3ds to put it in sleep mode will be able to allow resume play still on the same start up of the game, thus not lowering the number of times you can start it up!
