[Delete if it's truely inapropriate.] Brawl Demo Possibly Leaked?

On certain Torrent websites, there is a torrent named "Super Smash Bros Brawl NTSC (Japanese language)" added 18.4 hours ago. I'm wondering to myself, is it really possible that it's the demo? I would have tried all of this myself, but I don't have a modded Wii nor a NTSC Japan Wii. I'm wondering if anyone on the boards has also noticed this and tried it?

Also. I'm not going to tell you what websites you can find this on as it's illegal, I'm merely mentioning the truth so it's not illegal for me to mention it.

Someone confirm that this either is or isn't the demo please?

If this is old news, just lock the topic I don't really mind if it's the demo or not as I can't play it anyway without getting my Wii modded which I personally wouldn't do incase I messed it up really bad wrecking my Wii... I'm just curious to see if it really has been leaked. Thanks.

If this is in anyway breaking TOS of the forums, just edit the post or delete it completely, I was only merely asking a few simple questions. I'm not aware if mentioning Torrents is against TOS of SWF.

I could try later and see if its true. But, now I'm leave in a short while. I saw the link to the torrent on Nsider2 a while ago.

Hm, the file is 4.something gig, I don't actually know whats inside it as it would take hours to download, and if it was the game, I wouldn't be able to play it.

I was hoping someone would know of the torrent and would have tried by now >_>

Well the file could be real. It's not impossible

Did you look at the source first? I doubt that it's the demo, and it could be someone enticing you to download a giant heap of crap.

It could very well be real, but its gonna take someone with a modded Wii to try it out.

Well, I can't really tell if its real or not.
There have been games in the past, leaked before their release anywhere... [Super Mario Galaxy] beforehand, if this is it, I'm quite suprised.

Otherwise, I don't know. I would normally think "It'll be a load of crap" but I'm willing to try anything to get brawl at this point in time...

That was the NTSC American one. We don't know about this one yet, it's a different file and IP address... But I Do personally think it's fake, but I want to believe its real.. but it is very hard to believe.

And a few very sturdy anti-virus/spyware programs up and running. Anyway, does the torrent description say it is an iso or what? I don't do torrents when it comes to console games (can't be bothered) so I dunno what a game is supposed to look like.

Heh, can you imagine the guts of whomever managed to yoink that demo if it is legit?

If it's legit, it was probably one of the staff members that has the guts to do it, as they would have needed to take it out of the wii when they were done...

Reading the readme file that came with to see if it seemed legit or not, but it doesn't have a word of "Smash bros Brawl" in it whatsoever, and since I don't use BitTorrent, I have no idea if it sounds legit or not :\

Someone needs to try this asap!

Most torrents have a read me that has something like "downloaded from demonoid.com" or something like the users name who submitted it, or even their own website. If this is what's in it , it leads to nothing to be able to tell if its fake or not.

I *think* I found the torrent you guys are talking about, so I went ahead and downloaded the text files to find out what this was all about.

from ABOUT RELEASE.txt: "This release method is to get me a free Xbox 360. I'm not trying to hide that."

It continues on about having to accept an "offer" and having to sign up on different sites and giving out your credit card information in order to get the password for the .rar file, which probably has 4GB worth of child porn. So..







Yeah, totally legit.

Fake. Don't waste your time downloading it people. It's been posted 30 days ago. Someone would've deemed it real by now.

That aint the readme file i got with the one i tried downloading :\ Mine said something along the lines of signing upto a website for a credit etc. But the guy who wrote it says it in a tone like "Just use fake information, aslong as you have access to the email address you put in" kinda thing. And he says he'll send the password right after. Thats the bit that sounds like a scam :< blaaahahahah
