Debug mode?

I read about how they put the new debug mode in the game but cant find it?

That's because it's not a menu, but activated through a combination of buttons=P...

The debug mode toggle turns it on or off and the others are used when it's turned on... what you have turned on will stay on when you turn off debug mode... pausing in debug will take you to frame advance mode where you get on frame of the game at a time and you can advance to the next frame by pressing z...

yup... you can start it whenever you play anything... and then it will be active through the menu so you can do frame advance on the menus for no reason at all=P...

same, I tried it with a classic against a cpu and it wouldnt work but then I switched it to a gc and a non cpu player and it worked fine

Pretty sure they'd have to code in every controller separately so they've only made it work with GC ones now... hopefully they'll expand to other controllers in a future update...
