Dealing with Falco Shield pressure

Hey all, I just had a question regarding different options that falcon has vs Falco's multi shine shield pressure.

I play melee with my roommate, who mains falco, all the time and always end up sitting in my shield while he multi shines or wave shines me. What can I possibly do as falcon to alleviate this pressure?

Buffered roll? During perfect pressure there is no way to counter attack effectively with falcon, but a buffered roll will give you a good shot of getting out safely. Obviously if you see and opening or a mistake, a grab or ariel out of shield does the trick as well.

Yeah buffer a roll is your best bet. I usually do that or wait for them to mess up pressure then grab. Only about two of the falcos around here actually grab so I don't usually worry about getting shinegrabbed but you should be wary of that.

There's also times you can grab their pressure depending on when they aerial your shield. like if they dair during the rising part of their jump you can grab before the next shine comes out. that may be completely wrong though hahaha I just remember a falco telling me that.

another thing is just try to stay away from being caught in shield. if a falco's coming at you from above they're most likely gonna dair and start pressure. Just don't shield that dair, run or roll away and punish it.
