Data transfer from the GC to the Wii.

Can it be done?
Its a miracle ive only lost my memory card once, and its only a matter of time before it happens again.

I just got a Wii and i tried to transfer my smash data from my memory card to the Wii, but under data management, i did not see that option, only the option to transfer data from card to card.

Nope not possible.

Although it is technically possible if Nintendo allowed it in a future update. Much like the inability to launch VC games from an SD card, its something we should be able to do but can't.

Because of the way backwards compatibility works with Wii. Its really impossible to save directly to the Wii (as the GC function works because it locks out non-GC variables like the controller and flash memory). That's not an excuse though why we can't simply backup saves like the PS2 could do with PS1 game saves.
