Alright, I've been googling and searching for the past 2-3 hours on how in the hell I can fix this, and for the life of me I can't seem to make it work.

I'm pretty sure the info.pac is in the right folder (I had to make the info2 folder, I guess I was supposed to do this).

Even if I change a single song title, it freezes after the now loading screen.
The file size is correct (390 kb), the "size on disk" reads as 392 kb, which I'm assuming is correct as well. But no matter what I do, it still freezes on me after that screen.

Even if I put the unmodded info.pac into the folder, it'll still freeze. What gives, man?

The ONLY thing I can see wrong is that the file size jumps to "400 kb on disk". I'm not sure how it goes from 393 kb on disk to 400 on disk just by me dragging it over, but ok.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm pretty frustrated with this.

Anything over 391kb will make the game freeze.
Even if the file is unedited but it's over 391kb it will freeze :/
I could send you mine to use as a base for your editing if you'd like it

I don't think "size on disk" matters in this case.
I suggest editing the MiscData[160] messages until the file is equal to or less than 400,363 bytes.

Size: 390 KB (399,456 bytes)

Size on Disk: 392 KB (401,408 bytes)

And yeah, I'm pretty sure the size on disk is what matters, since it's a rounding up of the file size which makes everything the same if they're almost equal.

It's like when you make a CSS portrait that's 6.5 kb to go over a 5.4 kb image, they'll still work because it's rounded up to 8 kb on the disk.

For some reason once I put it on my SD card it jumps up to a larger file size, even though nothing's changing.

Mr. Chuy, could you take a look in your SD card and see what file size it's at?
And yeah, if you could link me to yours, I'd be grateful.

Thanks for the responses guys. :)

He is quite correct. And to save you, and anyone else who has this issue, I post my very own Miscdata[160], which has all instances of "Nintendo WFC" changed to Wifi I believe. Something like that. Either way, I use really long titles and things are workin' fine for me. Give this a shot.

I've already changed everything to question marks.

What's the size of your file on disk in your SD card?

401,408 bytes, same as yours. But I think it has more to do with how the game reads it; if there are more characters than there are supposed to be, it's a no-go.

That's only the same as mine before I load it to the card.

Once I load it to the card it jumps to 400 KB (409,600 bytes).

Not sure how to stop it from jumping such a grand amount.

I've already replaced everything else with question marks, as I said. There shouldn't be any problem.

Still unable to get this to work. Could anyone with custom in-game titles PM me with their info.pac uploaded to mediafire/rapidshare/anything?

Any help would be great.

No dice :(

I guess something else is interacting with it, I'll go through and add all my folders back one by one and see which one is freezing it.

Thanks for taking the time to upload your file :)

*Edit*

Well, even deleting everything but the info2 folder froze it. Guess my SD card is either increasing its size or the wii just doesn't want me to change my music titles.

I'm still thinking it's my sd card not compressing the size on disk enough, because when I drag it to the card it jumps from saying 388 on disk to saying 400 on disk.

What's the size on disk for yours when you right click it inside the SD card, if you don't mind me asking?

That's an old one I uploaded.
The one I have now is, actually, 397kb.
