I saw a video about Dash Pivot Canceling today and decided to mess around with pikachu. After i got it down i noticed that if u space it right a backwards up smash locks ppl againsy the stage allowing for 4 in a row and then a down smash. It really laggy though but it could be used for mindgames. Anyone wanna try it out and put in their 2 cents?

I have tested this and if it is what i think it isnt a lock or anywhere close. they can jump out after the first one. i would rather be facing the other way and usmash them. better for combos. or utilt. just saying :psycho:

i have a question for everyone. i know how to dash pivot grab. you simply fox trot then turn around quickly and grab... but how does sk92 slide so much when he does it? here a video of him doing it. although he is using falco, the technique should be the same no?

used a lot throughout the match... for example at 0:11, 2:31.. and its in his other videos against meepo too

3:16..

btw that second video was a pretty epic match.

anywways.... does anyone know how to do the extra sliding thing when you pivot? it could prove to be quite useful

It is a advanced tech called Reverse Grab Boosting. Here is the info:

- Boosting Technique: Reverse Grab Boosting
How to Perform: Initiate a dash attack with C-stick down, then press the opposite direction you are travelling and Grab during the attack's opening frames.
Effect: Character grabs backwards and slides in the direction of the dash. Different from the Pivot Grab because (1) most characters gain a momentum boost from this, and (2) this can be performed from an initial dash instead of waiting for the character to run.

I have been trying to implement this into my grab game for a while now, however, knowing this with Pikachu may not be useful at all. Pikachu can Dthrow chain all of the characters that he can Fthrow chain, which mean that running out of room for a chain grab isn't really a problem. Also, must people prefer to end their grabs with a Dthrow so that they can perform a Dthrow combo.

You cannot dthrow chain all of the fthrow chains. there only 4 char pika can garauntee dthrow chain. everyone else can be di'd and then jump, or footstool.

You are right. However, I would rather continue with a down throw combo than pivoting into something else. The higher the opponnet's percent goes up, the easier it is for them to be able jump up out of the up tilt after the down throw.
