Thanks To ShinySaber ForThe Amazing Video! ^^
I believe those inputs are incorrect as they should be
:GCR::GCR::GCL:
Edit:
This really helps little mac for how easy it is to do and to help make up for his inability to quickly fox trot left-right. Unfortunately I'm unsure if this is a new found or not.
Edit2: Yeah this isn't new at all. It took me a while but this thread
http://smashboards.com/threads/perfect-pivot-foxtrotting-dashdancing.371139/

Has this info already, still good to see a video of this in action though.

This honestly looks more useful than perfect pivoting.

Perfect Pivot is how you do this with out being as open because it cancels foxtrot.

I am so in love with the speed of how quick we're finding new things in this game. This is awesome. I can't wait to see this game develop with Fox/Sheik players using all the techs. :3

Honestly, this seems way too complex, when you could just do well- timed
:GCR::GCL::GCR::GCL:
Not as fast, but at least with Sheik, it's still very fast. I guess this is if you wanna speed it up tho. XP

I really don’t get why people are going gagaga over these Perfect Pivot techs. They aren’t anything new. Perfect Pivot techs have been around since Brawl. This particular one shown in the vid is Perfect Pivot Dashing.

Hype is weird.

I can dig it tho.

You see, there's this barrier between players who have been around before Brawl (In the competitive community that is) and those who haven't. A lot of things that are considered common knowledge just aren't known by new players, it brings a smile to me every time I see something I haven't seen before, because it means that this/these game(s) really DO have tons of thought being put into them by the community (since the devs probably didn't intend this kind of stuff).

I personally fall in between these two, where I know /some/ of what's considered common knowledge, if not most, but I also am left out when it comes to niche techniques. I think a lot of people are in the same boat as me as well, hence the hype being more from FINDING OUT about such techniques mainly. Of course, there are the people who DO think it's new, but then again, we don't really have enough people making it clear that such things were already found. Even the poster on the front page of Smashboards didn't know about such things.

Can anyone confirm whether I'm doing it right?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHtEJzSYkkc#t=0m13s

I feel like its slightly different than the video but I can't quite put my finger on it.

My inputs are:
<- -> (spot dash, face right), -> (dash right), -> <- (spot dash, face left), <- (dash left) repeat.
Is that correct?

Also, all these techniques are brand new to me and unknown to me till I watch the videos of them being done. Watching these well made videos make its much easier to understand how to use and most importantly, WHY there useful.

I don't know, I feel as though (for me at least) perfect pivots are more useful, even if I do only use them to back air whilst keeping forward momentum. Seems like both have some niche uses though. :)
