ok, i've tried downloading it from multiple places and every single time, avg tells me that two of the files in it are generic worms. what's going on? becaus my comp won't let me use it now because of that.

Just make DDV an exception, that's what I did. Just search how to do it, I can't remember right now exactly what you need to do in AVG.
