Just playing a friend at school the other day and he brought in something new. He usually mains Samus, which pisses off my Falco (poor bird), but he started using ICs. Approaching is tough with his desynched control over nana, and playing passive screws me over as he wavedashes quickly and either grabs me or dodges. I explained it kind of broadly, but can I get some help in taking care of Nana and Wobbles -> Alley OOP!!! Or should I just use CF and start kneeing em away?

I dont wanna lose to him in our school's upcoming tourney.

wobbling should be banned, however unless your opponent is Chu Dat Falco pretty much beats ICs. Falco just has to spam lasers in order to screw the ground gaming of ICs. Whenever you see an opening just hit them, connect with a shine and do some stuff to keep them separated. After that comboing and killing them one after the other isn't supposed to be hard (always go on nana first) while it's going to be pretty hard for your opponent to catch nana again. Watch out for grabs, Dsmashes and WD + grab/Dsmash. Also ICs can outprioritize Falco's aerials in certain situations because of the hammers.

This battle is really strategy specific. You have to know when to attack and where, and that's something that can only be gained by experience.

Laser spam stops our approach. Use it.

Before we grab you, you grab one of us and IMMEDIATELY Fthrow. This aggressively desynches/separates us and allows you to follow up easily. Gimping Nana should be easy if you follow quick enough, since she doesn't DI combos at all. SHFFL Nair/Bair her across the stage and spike her.

Solo Popo can still combo you to hell from a grab. Uthrow is our usual combo starter on spacies.

Our recovery is hella predictable since we can't sweetspot. Exploit that.

Can't give you anymore info. Don't want you doing TOO well against us.... ;)

grabs work in certain situations but most of the time you'll have an easier time landing normal aerials on them. Watch out though, you'll have to get through 2 shields and you're timing is likely to get messed up if you aren't used to it.

Just remember Nana has her own hit bar, so pounding away at her is beneficial to your game plan. You can also take them to stages like Yoshi's story and go for easy vertical shine kills. Two other solid counter picks are Jungle Japes and Poke Floats. Both stages can easily kill Nana or keep the couple separated, giving you a huge edge. You can also camp the hell out of them on those stages.

watch out for early kills on yoshi story.. but still, it's a pretty good stage. And always remember that Nana does no DI on your attacks, so you can juggle/combo her as much as you want.

make sure your lasers are lower than usual. ice climbers can WD under your lasers if your lasers are too high.

and do shine -> up B combos on nana when you're juggling her. it's hilarious when it kills.

for approaching, laser -> grab is really good. i'd learn how to pillar / shffl against ice climbers' shield if possible because it helps pressure them into rolling and such. if you end up landing behind an ice climbers do an immediate utilt because most of the time they'll try to WD out of their shield and will get hit by the utilt.

fsmash is good =]

PS: aldwyn is one crazy *** falco =]

yeah, Fsmash and Utilt are both really good options, expeacially in order to stop WDs. ICs can shield them but they'll most likely slide away and be unable to shield grab you. Watch out on Fsmash though, even if they get sent far away they'll just WD again towards you and grab/Dsmash.
