DK dont have much combos, but some aereal attacks can make a real combo xP

i suppose it would be, as i can do it with a D-pad...its very hard though

It's impossible to do a descending up-air because after you press down to go down, pressing up will make you jump.

I also tried holding up then pressing down but you still jump, this time instantaneoulsy

I think he means a falling u-air from a platform.

you can do falling uairs off platform on a dpad controller, but you have less than a millesecond to press up without double jumping.
