For floaties they usually need to be at low percents and you need to time it. For fast fallers you typically can just do the 3 overBs really fast and get it off. Higher percents on fastfallers you need to time though.

But it does make a good KO...
When I do it, I floatie the first two and then use the third as a KO if the target is at a high percent.
But thanks!

How does one use the Dancing Blade effectively? I can't seem to use it even on the ground past the first two strikes unless I'm lucky. Could someone tell me the trick?
Yeah, use Red Marth, his dancing blade is a lot faster than the other colors.

No, seriously. I mean I don't know how it works and I can't find anything on it.
You can't use it as a combo beyond two moves, or you just can't do more than two swipes because your timing is wrong?
It's all just rhythm. 1,2,3,4.

The timing takes time to learn. Count as you perform each slash. If you can't pull it off, you're either not pressing B fast enough or you're pressing B too slow.
The Dancing Blade makes almost no difference with the first 2 slashes. Only the 3rd and 4th slashes have any notable differences.

well the fourth down b is pretty sweet, but the other bs are much more powerful. the third b usually has too much knockback for you to use the fourth b efficiently. you can use the first over b, then use the reverse dolphin slash... and you could jump and use the first two or three slashes so you can come down and hit the third or fourth slash without the knockback...
and for anyone tht doesnt know how to use the dancing blades, just tap b in a steady rhythm, about 4 times per second if you want it pretty fast. DO NOT jam b, cuz tht usually only gives u two slashes.

I really don't think you should go for the fourth hit after you've gotten the third, since they'll probably not be in range. You can also use the Dancing Blade on people who spotdodge a lot to deal with the problem of lifting them up on the third hit.

I personally ususally use the >,>,>,V combo in his dancing blade. His dancing blades third down slash can be used as a meteor smash.
