Sort of. Instead of trailing someone with a Dair, if you immediately footstool after your first Dair, it should push them low enough where it is nearly impossible to recover. The reason for this is because they are still in flinch frames from the kick. You have to be fast though, because in order for the footstool to be ultra effective, it has to occur IMMEDIATELY when the Dair finishes. The best way to practice this is Dair, then hammer the Y or X button while the Dair is in effect. It should footstool automatically.

Sounds sort of a no brainer, but it actually works, and makes an excellent gimp for Heavies. Charizard especially. Yeah, doing this pretty much says goodbye to Charizard. He is seriously just screwed after this. Don't believe me? Try it against him on FD.

Heavies who are stunned and pushed too far down, even if the footstool doesn't kill them immediately, their recovery will just come up short.

I have tried this on large targets, as well as some medium ones. The smaller targets are harder to do this too for some reason.

So yea. =P

Mmhmm, but the thing is, it usually doesn't send them far enough down to get a solid kill, especially at lower %'s. What this does is guarentee that they will be far enough down IF the spike doesn't carry through.

I tested it a bit...

it seems that footstooled Dair sends them down a little more than just Dair (a nice landed one), but just minor differences

Yeah, like I said, it is nothing too flashy or fancy, but it gets the job done, and that is what is most important.

That little bit more drop is plenty to gimp a vertical recovery. =P

I was argueing with a high ranking player on GB the other day. He was claiming I should spam Dair more often as it has priority. Can anyone deny or approve of this msg? I've always thought it has little priority.

It has priority over some attacks, but Toon Link's up-air will beat it and anything at 45 degrees below you will obviously beat it, and it is stupid laggy if you land with it.

It fits the definition of a good multi-hit attack.

Depends on the player.

Some will expect it, others will not.

Don't get in the habit of Dair spamming though, as it has a tendency to come back and bite you in the ***.

However, SHFF'ed Dairs work wonders.
