Not surprised at all that M2K think Pit and Link are top tier.
If you make x character give all of m2k's characters problems, you become a top tier.

Finally someone thinks the PK Kids are Top tier! I had a nine hour argument with someone on the Ness disc. saying M2K said he was bottom tier. I have no idea what they were saying.

i wouldn't say Pit being top tier is far from the truth

he goes just about even with fox, and might even have the upperhand due to his super effective d-throw chaingrabs

plus Pit's meta-game is nowhere near as developed as Fox's.

Sure it is

- Throw people offstage
- Hit them more offstage
- Arrow loop the stage twice for maximum style points
- Turn up volume to drive opponent insane with annoying victory music and Pit's voice

You can now Pit, go forth and beat Mew2Kings and Professor Pros with impunity

The thing he complained about was the chaingrab. I wish he would have gone more in detail about why he thinks each character is top tier. I can see Pit but Link has below average mobility and OoS options.

Upb is laggy if it misses but if it hits its a semispike and opponent is dead if anywhere near ledge lol
... How would the opponent be pressuring you if he was offstage near the ledge?

And a lot of characters who can apply good pressure can deal with semi-spikes well enough. Lucas, for example. Link's anti-pressure options are pretty subpar for the most part.

His up b will knock people at mid to high person off stage from center stage on smaller levels and assuming (lucas) is knocked low to where he has to pkt2 to recover instead of tether 1 more up b near the ledge = death unless he sweetspots. Link doesn't have the best anti pressure options but that's made up for by his stellar edgeguarding tools, recovery, and stage control tools. Also most characters that pressure hard have easy recoveries to edgeguard for Link with Lucas perhaps being the exception.

Link don't need OOS options because he'll make you spend 90% of your time shielding a combo of dash attacks ftilts zairs rangs and OH IT'S A GRAB NVM YOU'RE DOOMED PRESSURE SITUATIONS DON EXIST

Why would you ever need OoS options as link anyway when you could just have a boomerang out at all times to interrupt shield pressure for free
It's not like it takes anymore than 15 frames to throw anymore lmao
