I once hit my opponent on both sides, like TL's dsmash, with Marth's. It gave 27% damage. I try to it again but never succeeded :( Does anyone know how to double hit with dsmash?

each swing reaches slightly behind you. they were either close enough to you that you hit them with a backswing (most likely the backswing of the first), or they were hit by the first swing from the front and they DI'd incorrectly, causing them to go behind you. rarely happens with me, and only at low percentages, quite low.

Has never happened to me. I'm guessing it's very situational.

The only time I remembered hitting with both sides of marth's DSmash was in Event 51 against Giga Bowser (Melee)

your opponent has to be right next to you and they need to have very low damage and it should hit with both sides
