How do you make a wifi group on PKMN D/P?

Hey, doesn't some guy in Orebough city ask you too make a group, and then ask if he can join it? Maybe that has something to do with it, but IDK...

yah, he asks to make a group, then you name it, then he asks to join--but nothing else ever happens.(?)

Same here...what is the purpose?? You can see the group name on trainer cards of your wi-fi friends on your pal pad once you've interacted with them...but they don't really serve a purpose...??

From what I've read, once you've created a group, you can get others to join your group. When you using the Union Room (not Wi-Fi), you can share information with other games and special events can happen. It sounds interesting, but it's not very useful unless you know a lot of people near you that own the game.

i thought that you could have a group of people in the union room without actually creating a group.

Yes, but the point is it's something you can only do with Local area Wifi, not online wifi.
