I've been watching a lot of Ken's matches, and I noticed at Nexus that Ken dairs on ground a lot.. I know this is dumb to ask this because Ken is such a good Marth player, but is this a useful thing to do? I know it gets damage on them and it stuns them for a bit, but what about the lag time when the attack is complete? 0_0

How does Ken do it so fast and without any problems?

A shorthopped dair is especially useful from a shield if they're behind you. Properly L-canceled, it can lead to an uptilt or whatever, but if its shielded, its tough to escape because the lag is still kinda long. This is probably something I do too much of, actually.

It isn't as useful as it is in Pal, because the Meteor sends you straight up while the spike sends you at an angle. I think you can get a Fsmash off it. If it's shielded, don't fastfall. Instead, move behind your opponent while still in attack animation. This way, you won't get shieldgrabbed.

If you space it and cancel it, it doesnt have enough lag for you to get punished and it can combo into marths smash hit. It also cant be CCed so if you are fighting someone who keeps CCing you, start spiking them into the ground and if they keep CCing, there isnt anything they will be able to do to you.
