Custom songs cutting off

I recently installed two new custom songs into my build, when I go into the stages (Skyworld & Yoshi's Island (Brawl)), the songs cut off. In Yoshi's Story the song fades away into the default song (I think it's Wildlands). And in Skyworld the new song just cuts off as if someone blew into a mic, and the sounds stops completely. Any suggestions as how to fix this?

Free up space on the sd card, then defragment.

Can I just delete BRSTM's using song manager without replacing them? Will that cause the game to crash?

Deleting the songs just reverts the slot back to brawl default music. If you want to fix the garbled brstms, free up space on your sd card, and defragment.
The game doesn't crash because of music.

Thx it fixed the problem on Skyworld but not Yoshi's Island. It's weird, sometimes the songs plays and sometimes it doesn't. And when it does the song fades away very smoothly into the default song, but always plays when I go into the music menu. I might try to delete more songs.

Try redownloading the song too. Sometimes, the file is corrupted or has an error. I usually just redownload the song.

I'm trying to redownload the song and install it over a different brstm, but now song manager won't let me rename it. Ugh one problem leads to another lol.

You can try using the stage manager if the song manager doesn't work. Stage Manager lets you change song names too.

Ok finally fixed it. Deleted some songs for space, and reinstalled the song over a different default slot. Now it works fine thx guys.
