Smash Ace
With the addition of 8-player smash battles and fully customized game types, there can be many types of fun custom games that can be made aside from the regular smash battles. Any ideas for some? Post them here!
Here's the format:
Game Name: [name here]
# of Players: [player count]
Team Format: [# of teams/players per team/specific characters on teams/no teams]
Stage: [specific stage here]
Settings: [settings (# of stock, time, handicaps, etc)]
Special Settings: [special mode settings (metal, big, etc.)]
Rules: [how the game is played and winning conditions]
Can't wait to find out what type of games Smashboards can come up with. I'll be adding them to the OP when I get the chance!
Custom Games

Smash Potato Deluxe
Up to 8 Players
Free-for-All, Villager only
Any 8-Man-Smash compatible stage w/o platforms (e.g., Big Battlefield is off-limits)
Can be played w/ any stock, 4-10 preferred, time optional
Standard Smash battle, no items
Rules: All Villagers must stand in a line where they are spaced a Pocket hitbox away from each other. You are only allowed to use Pocket and turns left or right, with 1 Villager at the back or front of the line using Timber towards the next Villager for them to pocket the tree. The Villager who has the tree can pass it on to the Villager left or right to them and can stall the tree for at least 10 seconds. There is a 5 passback limit between to adjacent Villagers at a time to prevent stalling the game.
If the tree hits a Villager(s), one of the ledge Villagers will use Timber and have the next Villager pocket the tree and the game continues.
Any Villager(s) who get KO'd must return to their position after respawning. If 1 Villager runs out of stocks, then the line shrinks to fill in the gap left, shifting player adjacency. The last Villager standing wins.
How to Train Your Dragon 2
# of Players: 3
Team Format: 2 VS. 1
Ike (Hiccup) and Charizard (Toothless) VS. Ganondorf (Eret)
Stage: Wuhu Island or Skyloft
Settings: Stock Match (any number of Stock)
Rules: Typical stock match rules, but with no items allowed to truly recreate the feel of the movie
Find Your Own Villain!
6 or 8 players
3 vs 3 vs 2 -> Mario, Luigi, Peach vs. Link, Zelda, Sheik vs. Bowser and Ganondorf (for 6 players remove Peach and Sheik from the teams of 3)
Any stage
5-minute time battle
Team Attack off
Rules: The teams of 3 try to get as many kills on their respective villain as possible. They can fight anyone they want but the only points that count are the KOs on their respective villain. At the end of the game, count up the KOs and determine the winner. Bowser and Ganondorf win if they score at least one KO on each of their respective heroes. So Bowser must get at least one KO on Mario, Luigi, and Peach and Ganondorf must get at least one KO on Link, Zelda, and Sheik for the villains to win. SDs subtract 1 from your score to prevent players from killing themselves to avoid being killed.
