Smash Wii U Custom Controls Wii U

Ok. So ive got a new Wii U and Super Smash Bros Wii U and i play with my Gamepad.
The thing is i dont like the Keysetup so i changed it and saved it.
Now when i start a game after that the Controls is gone again.
Some guy told me to Press the "Player 1" text after picking a character and i did that but then i changed "Player 1" to "CPU 1" can someone help me with this?

Try clicking underneath Player 1 after picking a character. There should be a list of names. Make a name and back out to controller options. There, you can change controls specific to that that name.

For example: I picked the name Omega, I go back to options and change the controls under name Omega. Then I go back to the Character Select Screen and change my name to omega. For me "Omega" will contain all the changes I made for my Gamepad, like switching tap jump off for example.

Its kinda hard to explain, but I hope the above explanation will help you with your problem

Basically, to select the name you set the controls to, click the little red bar under "Player 1" (or other colors for 2, 3, 4, etc.). You will see a list of names (or just one), where you can then pick the one you set the controls to.
