So I've been testing custom characters, and the game feels way better if you balance all of them with +7 stats, I mean the agility badge, brawn badge and protection badge. I havent get all the specials but for an example Link's giant bomb can be used to recover just like the regular bomb helped in melee.
I think this help the game feel more fast paced.
What do you guys think?

Hmmmmm, I've actually never considered that. That would alleviate any problems people have with characters being too slow, not having enough attack power or defence. It's too bad you can only use custom moves/equipment offline and with your friends online, and I doubt they will become tourney legal for many but we shall see. I think it would be a fantastic idea in order to balance out certain characters and really make this game more to your liking, especially if you come from the Melee or Project M competitive scene. I'm honestly fine with the games speed as well as the balance of each character personally, but I'm sure many will disagree with me and that's perfectly ok as well. That being said, I totally see what you mean and I really think equipment/custom moves can further balance the game to your liking, whatever that may be.

There is still potential for customs, but we're really going to need more info to find what would be tournament legal.

On the flip side, it's pretty cool the variety you can get from messing with the equipment. Bowser vs Bowser with attack loaded as high as possible (which in turn super gimps defense) gets pretty crazy. One forward smash was doing 75% damage. Fully charged was 104% and pretty much an instant KO anywhere on an Omega stage.

I wouldn't mind this being a thing.

I played melee and I played brawl both competitive, and Im liking smash 4 as it is what Im not liking is playing the game and finding 99% of the matches being too slow cause everybody keeps rolling and running away, I can win those matches but sometimes it takes me about 4 minutes to end it, getting tired of just chasing down players thats why I came out with this idea and been testing it. Maybe with the gamecube controller on the WiiU it gets easier to punish those guys, but trust me the game feels so good with custom chars.

I don't know, personally I've not taken to using equipment among my group of friends because I feel as if that's something that adds too much surprise at the start of a set, if that makes sense. I guess what I mean is everyone is more or less used to the way that characters are in the game, so having to spend the first match of any set figuring out whether that character even has those default stats or has been customized and in what way is just undesirable to me.

Have been using the hell out of custom moves though. Those are honestly a no brainer for me and I really wish they had allowed them online.
