Hi i'm still relatively new here but if I were to train with Marth (or any character actually) in PM.

Yes Pm. those forums are dead cause apperantly Melee is the true smash game (which i might agree with)

But for those that play pm 3.5...

What level cpu should i be playing? I've heard multiple stances on this

  • Level 1's to just practice combos. today was northwest regionals and after I saw MewtwoKing lose to Shroomed (who i almost beat fml i hate this game) M2K just went to the corner and practiced against lvl 1 cpus
  • Level 9's. The most technical
  • Level 7's. Mixed DI's (but is this a melee only thing? or does it work in pm?)

Sorry if this is a scrub question

Stick to lv. 1-4 as ragdolls; anything beyond that is unnecessary because then they're really trying to fight you and you'll form bad habits from actually trying to fight them instead of using them to beat and practice certain things on. And by the time you reach level 9s, it's a bunch of frame perfect jabs, grabs, and humanly-impossible "reactions" with powershields.

Do you have a Wii? Can you hack it? Please see http://smashboards.com/threads/the-...re-alt-stages-costumes-new-debug-menu.351221/ and get the 20XX. Practice is much easier and better with that. Visit http://smashboards.com/threads/the-...re-alt-stages-costumes-new-debug-menu.351221/ for help with the Wii, if you have one.

Learn your advanced techniques, practice them solo, practice them in friendlies, study the good threads on here, watch pro v. pro matches, watch the best players vs. lower level players, observe, take notes, practice more, etc. etc. ---> Get good.

Any questions? Welcome to Marth. :)
