I got the common5.pac file and put all the custom textures into their appropriate spot using brawlbox and saved it. After I put it in private/wii/app/RSBE/pf/system.. the textures don't appear when I'm selecting a character. I watched all of wackaalpacka's videos, but I didn't see anything I missed even after repeated viewing of it. I didn't do the cupash tutorial though.

Is the sc_selcharacter_en compressed?

If you could upload your Common5 file, I'll take a look at it.

I noticed that your edited CSPs are not 128x160, try to re-size them and see if it works.

I switched one of my textures to 128x160 and tried it in game but still didn't work.

Also congrats on your 4,500 post.

I tried to use the file you uploaded and it didn't work, the only difference I can find between yours and mine common5 file is the size.

Try and edit this file and see if it works. If it doesn't work, CUPASH is pretty simple to use.

Also, be sure to edit the pictures as 128x160 and make sure that the picture file ends with either jpg or png.

Thanks I'll try.

I just noticed that the gecko code is on version 3.5.1 while I'm still using 2.1a I'll try changing that.

Ok now my game freezes if I try entering a character selection screen with a custom common5.pac in the system folder.(tried using the one you gave me and old one)

Do I need to first export the image then replace it?

The only two folders I have in pf are system and fighter.

There's another file that you can use for your custom portraits, which is sc_selcharacter.pac.

Regarding your game crashes, your file must be too big. When modifying compressed PAC files or PAC files with compressed contents, they have to use less memory than normal in order to work.

Index color 256 when making the CSPs I think?
Also, make sure you select "Recommended" on BrawlBox when in the "Added CSP menu" (That's the menu that pops up when you select the Picture that'd replace the current one in the common5)

Thank you I'll try that.

Awesome it works now even though its a 82x82 size image. Got a new image thats only 2.3 kb compared to the old 45.
