all right im watching some match of fox vs marth on fd.

you really need ot work on your tech skill. learn how to at least shl. get your l cancels down. don't roll so much it gets predictable. your movement is way too predictable. work on your di. you were up aired and he charged an upsmash and you didnt try to DI away from it....definitely avoidable.

work on prefecting the basics first. l canceling, wavedash, waveshine, edgehogging, renewing invincibility frames etc.

I watched the CF vs Fox on PS, as junglefever said you need to practise your tech skill and basics.
You did lots of full hops where short hops would have been a lot more useful.

I watched the same match.

I'd agree what has been said as far as working on the basics.

You didn't SH nair very much. That's critical against Falcon. Forget waveshining. Take it to an even simpler level. You were dash attacking and forward smashing so much it made me cringe.

They're not good moves.

Sure dash attack can combo into all kinds of stuff in certain situations. But you definitely don't want to approach with it because it's all too easy for your opponent to shield grab. And especially against Falcon a grab hurts, with the **** techchasing and upthrow fsmash/knee that he has guaranteed on you.

Fsmash can also be shield grabbed. You really only want to use fsmash in uncommon edgeguarding situations when you are onstage and you know Falcon will pull back and try to grab onto the ledge.

Lasers aren't important in this matchup. Don't worry so much about that.

Just practice SH nair. FJ nair often too (though not as often) and keep practicing until you are always hitting your l-cancels. This is critical as well, because if you l-cancel properly, you can shine as a precaution against shield grabbing.

So just to repeat, work on tech skill. Practice practice practice against level 1 comps.

Just keep practicing. There's no limit to how technical you can get. Just keep that in mind.
