There are alot of things that could've been done better here. But have no fear, this is all just constructive criticism.
FIRST OFF -> On Fox's second stock, when Torjo faired the Fox out of his illusion and he went flying behind the Ganon.
the Fox said "it was d.i."
I'm sorry to inform you that you are sadly mistaken. No amount of d.i. would ever make a character completely reverse a set trajectory. The explanation is simple; Ganon hit Fox with the back of his fair hitbox.
The result is that it sends the person backwards, its exactly the same concept as Falcon's reverse knee. Hit with a certain part of his hitbox, get a different trajectory. Keeping this in mind, you can actually reverse fair with Ganon and make your opponent botch d.i. in an attempt to kill them faster - Falcon style.
Fox:
-The repetitive ledge-returns you attempted were both tedious and painful to watch. On your first stock, you kept trying to get on the stage via a ledge-hop, and got faired like 3 times for it. If you get the edge, pause for a second and think about what you do. Make sure to re-grab it a few times to keep your invincibility frames. You can ledge-attack, hop up and dair, or even just get up or roll onto the stage. Using the same method of approach when you're hanging on the edge over and over really hurt you in that match. Learn to be diverse when it comes to getting back on the level.
-When you're sent flying off...for the love of god don't go firefox/illusion-ing straight into the Ganon. Go up, try to sweetspot the firefox, or just set your sights on the ledge and sweet spot with your side-b. You got faired WAY too much in this match. Diversity is key, especially with Fox. Going auto-mode and flying straight at any character isn't such a smart thing to do. You'll see what I mean if you watch the match again. Play it smart and work around Ganon instead of attempting to go directly through him. Keep in mind that recovering is about you landing on solid ground and being safe again.
-Your edge-guarding wasn't all that impressive. Watch the match again and see if you edge-guarded him even once.
When Ganon is near the edge, don't WD away randomly. Maintain the pressure and dsmash him out of his upb, or just shine him. Part of what makes Ganon's recovery so **** ****ty is the fact that he can't sweetspot. You can dsmash him EVERY SINGLE TIME. Its impossible to sweetspot with either Falcon or Ganon. They always pop up above the stage, even if it doesn't look like it. Use that to your advantage and EDGE-GUARD.
As for what you did right. You had some sick combos and the pressure you had going was good. I suggest you throw in alot of uthrow uair and throw combos in general. Also, I saw that you can waveshine; but I saw no waveshine grabs or usmashes.
Ganon:
I don't play Ganon much. His jab is slightly slower than Fox's shine, which is still hella fast. Cover your aerials with jabs to stop him from rushing your whiffed moves. Also space with bair and cover with ftilt. It has good range and is sick for edge-guarding.
Hope I helped guys.
