When you have the lead, just keep powershielding... he has to approach you. Wolf has an easier time punishing you if you approach then if he approaches you. If he is losing, and you can keep powershielding, he will have to approach or he will lose.

Ah, I had never played a wolf before, so I wasn't sure if he could outcamp me due to the shine. I'll keep that in mind next time.
