Heya my names Ares, I've lurked on smashboards for years now and i figure it's time I start being a bit more active. I don't have much tourney experience other than a few biweeklies (getting ***** by cactuar and Jman in 2v2's haha) and playing friends who go to plenty of tournaments. However I plan on going to a lot more in my future.

I have a few friendly Peach videos that were recorded in one night, so I dont have much diversity in the matches and it was only one opponent.

DISCLAIMER:
My opponent is Kupo, you may recognize him as being one of the prime influences in the Pit Boards when Brawl came out, and now a prime influence in the Brawl+ development. So you MUST realize he is QUITE rusty in melee, and has forgotten much of melee's strategy.I main peach and have much experience in our matchups, and Kupo does not have that experience (yet). But I'm slowly pulling him away from everything brawl and getting him back to melee :) So please take things with a grain of salt, I'm almost sure of the things you can say about him(DI,typical matchup strategies,Tech Skill errors), but I'd like you to concentrate on aspects I can improve on, because I am not as good as these vids suggest.

In the future I will compile many more videos from different players who attend melee tournaments. And I will try and get recordings from biweeklies and such. But I gotta start somewhere.

P.S I'm gonna upload other friendly vids of me as other characters so check those out too!

No more dash attacks into an opponent's arms, only do it when you absolutely know it will connect. More spacing, more turnip camping, work on instant float nairs.

EDIT: I would also suggest learning the percents at which grabs can be wiggled out of so you can add slaps to your chaingrabs. Around 35-50 = 1 slap, 50-75 = 2, etc. And if doing this, learn to recognize your opponent's controller sounds so if they have a habit of not wiggling you can get an extra slap or two in per percent bracket.

EDIT 2: Dair to nair is a much more viable edgeguarding solution than just downsmashing everything.

Last one: Don't get Falcon Punched.

thx for the input, i just figured my hand movement today for instant fc nairs so the dash attacks are probly gonna go away as fc nairs replace those, i always need to remember more turnips, ill give dair>nair as edgeguarding more

but the falcon punching i cant explain haha sometimes i like watching

if you grab a fastfaller at 0% up throw down smash always works. If you do down throw make sure your tech chasing is on point cuz peach isnt too fast

Shakugan, maybe im a lion
