Hi guys; It's been months since my first critique and I think I've gotten better. Please critique my new Marth and tell me any bad habits or improvements I can work on. One more thing; I think I need tips on avoiding capt falcon's aerial combos. Thanks.

Sorry about the audio for those of you who prefer the stage music.

First off there's a thread for this: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=257092

Also, I think before you start getting into techchaceing and such, you need to look over your mentality of the actual game... Alot of times it looked like you were just throwing out moves just to throw out moves, at times this was really bad.

For about 15 seconds first match you pulled out upair, constantly, when he wasn't even above you.

In video two, you tried jumping off the ledge and up air for some reason only to UP B back, when your priority should have been getting back on to the stage. Even after you did it once and it failed, you tried to do it again, and died for it.

For starters I think you need to get your priority of moves straitened out, then after that work on some spaceing. And with that also alot of percent recognition. For example Don't try to go for some Upair kinda combo when hes at 0%, you will get punished, it would be better to try and space some SHFFL fairs or try to sneak a grab so you can't get punished as easy.

I'm no pro but I hope this helped a bit. Good luck :>

Thanks; I'm using fairs a lot more and grabbing even more now. I thought the get on stage priority tip you gave was especially helpful; I"m not getting gimped nearly as much now:) Thanks.

I don't see much wavedash to pivot grabs, or much grabbing in general. Like the others said Marth can tech-chase Falcon pretty hard, and when you read their tech you can Tipper or wavedash into it to hit them for a quick kill.

Also try to work on your overall speed.
