What I see is that he needs to work on approaching. Maybe open up and space with SH PKF/F-Tilt. Also, to rush in he needs to use higher priority moves (such as SH Fair). That's a pretty nice Mario, and he can be a bad matchup for Lucas sometimes. But pretty good overall.

That's for me to know
Wow, there were way too many up-smashes in the whole match.... That move is a little situational so he shouldn't rely on it for damage. Also, he may need to work on not spamming PSI Magnet. I think he needs to also work on using better moves for approaches and not getting gimped so easily...

Good lord. First of all, the Mario playing in that match...epic ending.

Okay, help time. The Lucas playing in that match needs to stop using up smash; he expects the opponent to fall into his hands too easily, which won't happen. Damage for lucas usually relys on PK moves, and he couldn't get enough space between him and Mario. Lucas in this video was actually pretty good in this video besides the said info, and the only reason he was conquered is because that Mario was...epic.

I had something more in-depth written up, but this would solve ALL his problems:

Tilts. I think I MIGHT'VE seen 3. I think only 2 though. And the first one didn't even count, because Mario was nowhere near him. I counted about 14-15 situations where an utilt or ftilt would've done him wonders from Mario's pressure and given him the space he needed.

Also, PLEASE don't use PSI Magnet like that. All it did was slow him down so that Mario could get an easier hit in. If you want to be fancy on your return, use Ropesnake, who fyi would've made some of those recoveries a lot easier (and it actually would've saved him on that last one if he chose to attempt a fastfall ropesnake rather than a double jump before Mario punked him).

Play smarter.

You have bad spacing and you're rushing in without any plan whatsoever. I can't believe how many Dairs you didn't autocancel. Honestly, you just need to spend some more time playing. It seems as if you don't really understand how your character works much less how your opponent's character works.
