I watched the second one only. You don't shine nearly as much as you need to. After sidesteps, shine and jab and follow up to something gay and broken.

Shine shine shine and follow him. Get a grab and uair him till you can't anymore. Your edge-guarding needs improvement too. Grab edge and stall to keep your frames of invincibility. When he upbs bair or shine him and you cut right through his move with your frames. Learn to use shield more and d.i. his dtilts AWAY so he can't combo you.

Better yet, crouch-cancel all of his aerials and you destroy Roy as a character. You can CC every move he has into shine or usmash. Its stupid and Roy can't do anything about it.

edit: well he can grab to avoid CC but the only Roy thats ever done that to me was Neo.

yeah. I don't know why, but I suck at edge guarding a roy. i know my DI needs work too. I also DI towards him every time he bthrows me bcuz I'm a scrub
I'll try to bair through his up B, sounds possible due to fox being gay
it's just when he gets super aggressive I start getting *****

No one is here to make fun of you. If he starts being aggressive shine him and spam nair in his direction. Even if he blocks you shine jump out and do it again. I'm assuming he doesn't know how to CC.

If you bair from the ledge even without frames, you'll trade your hit with his upb fire, and you'll survive because it has virtually no knockback. So even if you screw it up you still kill him. Its so sad.

Ripple has an incredible amount of knowledge and is an extremely good player, so he knows the in's and out's of the matchup. I prefer to bair instead of uair against roy...so I usually uthrow to a bair then laser and chase with wavedash spacing..bottom line, I need more videos to upload, but thanks for all the advice RaynEX, I'll incorporate it into my game. It's pretty ****ty that nobody ever critique's videos of no names anymore, so it's pretty cool of you to help me out.

I got better by getting destroyed at event 52
it really taught me how to shield pressure and to DI better out of combos

it seems like you kept wasting open opportunities by shining him when you could have grabbed and comboed him instead for much deadlier results. Thought that might be something that could help your wining results.

oh ****! well, I had the tag m3k. I know i didn't play friendlies with you and I know we weren't in the singles pool, and I barely didn't make it out of pools
but, maybe you were in my doubles pool? We did falco/dk and falco/marf and fox/falco, and I'm 6'5" overweight blond kid with a flat bill hat, so if you played me you'd def recognize me hahaha

Not really much else to say since it's all been said for the most part. More upairs, more shines, just stay aggressive because no matter the circumstances a fox should whoop on a roy once you understand how his moves work(try playing him for a little bit), you can appropriately DI away from his attacks and he can't do half of those combos he did to you. Also you should do the floaty lasers for camping so much, stay on the ground as much as you can because that's how you can get grabbed where as a ground laser doesn't keep you vulnerable for as long.

Your Fox is definitely solid though great tech(up there with mine I'd say) it'll be nice to get the chance to play you sometime once Kroger stops screwing me lol xD.

just use drill->shine/grab. It beats CCing.

vs falcon, camp less, or do it better. You leave yourself open by jumping so much, and so close to your opponent. More wave shine. Chain grab if you need to.
