<insert johns about being rusty due to midterms and choice being one of the best wolf players in the us>
I think these matches characterize the wolf vs bowser matchup fairly well. Any advice or suggestions would be great ^^ I played choice again later that week and did much better (i.e. I won 1/3 matches instead of 1/10) but I lost the footage. He knows bowser about as well as I do as evidenced by his rate my boozer thread so none of our tricks are new to him. As per your suggestions, i tried ac fairing more and toning down the gimpyfish combos. Klawhopping is getting better but I'm still not too comfortable using it with lasers and his ac aerials flying around.

Dude, for a month, you have an amazing Bowser. Your spacing is great, so while some of those FSmashes were needless and most went unpunished when they probably should have been, you really seemed to know what you were doing. Because of your great spacing, using DSmash is okay. Like in that second Pit vid. It was fresh, his percent was high, and he was practically on top of you. Probably one of your bigger mistakes was DBing in the air to a part of the stage that's not a ledge when it was tempting enough to do so. Remember: lots of things have priority over that move, they will usually see it coming, and the landing lag is pretty much the same as wearing assless chaps and a cut off shirt that says "Boy Toy," it's just asking to get *****.

As for grab tips, just remember that the shield button + the attack button = insta grab, especially if you power shielded X attack. And just try not to get tempted to mash that C-Stick left or right too often. :)

NIce bowser. Its effective and gets the job done nicely. Umm. you could maybe try using short hopped cancelled fairs? you'd be able to link to alot more stuff that way. I also you mention that you had bad hibits with bowser. You don't. Those "habits" will come back and forth as you play Bowser more. You'll eventually lose some. So just keep it up.

Thank you for the comments everyone! More advice plz ^^

JayDeath: I'm still hesitant about using dsmash since people can di out of it early before the last hit but I guess if it's fresh and they're in a bad spot it might not be such a bad kill move.

I've watched a few and you really need to learn to short hop Fair to cancel the lag. Against a good player, you'd get punished fast. Same applies to the constant DownB in the Pit match. Lay off the Cstick as well. XD

Try to learn how to Koopa Hop because it'll add a new mindgame to your gameplay and help you against all of those arrows.

Also, tell your friend to learn more moves with Marth. XD It was mostly Fair and Fsmash lol.

EDIT: Oh and check out the Grab Release thread...it's vital for Bowser and can be the difference from a win or loss.

Thanks for the advice Crzy! I'll try working on using ac'd fairs. It's not a very safe approach though, right? Whenever i try and do a claw canceled approach i seem to get punished by 1. shield to uptilt 2. projectile spam. I guess I just need more practice >.< I'll be sure to pass that along to him I keep tell him to stop fsmashing but some habits die hard. *shrugs*

Klaw beats shield so I don't see the problem there... and Klaw Hopping probably isn't good against projectiles, no, but that's what the giant shield is for. :D

You can use a retreating AC Fair to bait the opponent into rushing mindlessly.

And no, Koopa Hopping isn't the best option against projectiles, but they help you jump over some if you time it right. It can help you get over Pika's annoying B spam and such.

Urh, sorry, I don't feel like watching 10 vids right now, lol. I did see the first one though. Needs more Firebreath edgeguarding. Need to pratice teh Klau Hoops maor. Watch out for Wolf's SideB off stage as it has spiking properties if it hits you just right like the others. Try Klaw if he's sitting near the ledge like that. Not sure if it works against Wolf's DownB though. :/ If that was WiFi I can forgive eating so many projectiles, lol. Oh yeah, something you might want to do more is regrabbing the ledge to renew your invincibility frames. Also, check out Liquid Gen's new thread for stuff you can do from the ledge.

I'll see about looking at the rest later when I'm more awake, lol.

I'm still not too sure about how safe firebreath is against wolf but I'll give it a try. Also, I doubt klaw will beat out wolf's reflector because he gets invincibility frames. Re-grabbing the edge isn't safe since wolf can just drop down and shine spike. Any suggestions on how to deal with the dsmash? It seems like he gets a free shot at punishing me whenever I up+b (even if I hit him).

DI-ing up against the dsmash is as best as it gets. Seems like the wolf typically use it safely as a punish so cant really punish it. More CG whenever you grab the wolf sounds like it would be good. Klaw will not beat out invincibility, best i can think up is timing the up b's better, though i dunno if that'd work either or if there even is a way to time them better.

I think UpB invincibility lasts longer. It IS 5 frames. And Klaw is disjointed, so you might catch them off guard with it.
