Create a Taunt thread!

Create taunts poses of existing characters and characters you want in! Even if a specific character already has 3 official taunts make one fore them anyway!

Lloyd Irving: Flips swords, and catches them into his sheathe, "You pick the wrong guy to mess with."

Bowser: Grabs a boulder and smashes his head in it. "FOOTBALLLLL"(with the BIS voice)

I think every character should have a negative taunt, such as Mama Luigi staggering and propping his face up in his hands while exclaiming, "Oh no!" or Bowser crying:

Wolf could have his infamous "I cant looooose!" back. You could get even get a little creative or subtle. Snake didn't really have emphysema, but his negative taunt could be him bent over coughing.

Taunts need to be exactly what the name implies, a taunt. Melee did a great job, brawl introduced some silly ones since they felt inclined to have 3 per character. I think 3 unique taunts is superfluous, and perhaps being able to pick your taunt of choice from a customization option before the match would be better suited.

Captain Falcon having 3 taunts was extremely unjust. Once you already have the best taunt in the game the rest is just a waste.

I said this in the Ganondorf thread, but Ganondorf really needs one where he makes a fist and flashes the Triforce of Power.

I think it's important that each character has taunts for before and after battle, one to provoke and one to brag. Maybe an angry one would be good too, so as to say, "Now you've done it!"

That's a good idea. Then the rest of the ex-taunt buttons could be used for other things.

The Villager's probably obviously going to have a laughing emote taunt.
Perhaps he'll shoot a slingshot upwards as another taunt. Maybe the surprised emote taunt. Maybe the "I JUST PAYED OFF MY LOAN" dance.

He's easy to come up with taunts for.

I'm having issues thinking of some for Mega Man though. I think one of his taunts is already the teleport-in effect.

That is just conjecture. There's nothing to judge what etc. might even be. Taunts have no practical combat value: they are strictly for amusement. You speak as if newer players are even capable of recognizing bad habits! If they were even remotely capable, they would recognize any kind of taunt right out of spawn is probably a bad idea, as they are wasting invincibility.

If three is already too many, what difference does it make if you can only use one at a time?

-Does the animation from when summoned from a Pokeball in the Pokemon Stadium games
-Opens one hand and places it on the ground, causing the entire screen to tremble (does not affect movements or any other aspect of gameplay) as long as Mewtwo's hand is in touching the ground, then rises back up and the trembling stops
-Mewtwo's eyes glow intensely and the area near Mewtwo darkens as a swirling purple portal opens under Mewtwo and sucks in light, then the portal closes when Mewtwo's eyes return to normal, dispelling the darkness

-A fairy circles Link once and says "Hey, listen!" Relatively fast taunt (so you can keep using it lol)

If he is fighting Pokemon trainer and wins, his victory pose would be him raising his arms, summoning Mewtwo Pokeballs and saying "I now claim my prize. YOUR POKEMON."

On a more serious note, I think that Mario should have a V-sign taunt, similar to the one he has in SMRPG and Link should have a "You found a _____" taunt where he pulls out something (preferably bombs) and to make it epic, the music stops and you hear the DUN DUN DUN DUN! tune. That'd be so spammy lol. (try doing it with 4 Links) Hmm what else? Oh yes, I think some of the tripping taunts should be removed cause they're like WTF.
