How would you feel if the 3DS version of Smash 4 has a story creator, so people can have their fanfictions come to life or just for fun? (Like the WWE games)

Not sure I know how that could work with all these characters, but I suppose I'd be down. Even something as simple as picking the order in which you can tackle some All-Star type mode would be pretty cool by me.

I think it will just be a regular classic mode with branching paths. Just make up a story in your own head as you play the game.

If we could make our own cutscenes, I could see so many great dirty ways that may go. You would just see Wii Fit Trainer, Zero Suit Samus, Rosalina, Palutena.

This is a really cool idea, but I don't see how something like this could be implemented.

It could work by choosing scenes, characters, text, and songs. There would also be a way to add battles in the story you're making.

if you want fan fiction, you should familiarize yourself with a pen and paper.
I dont think SE fans would want to use a pen and paper since they want a story in the game itself. Have you read their comments on Youtube? Plus this is probably the only way to please them(maybe)

Oh yes our own story. Wii Fit Trainer is on a quest to be the best smasher in the smash universe. She becomes the best and...TAKES OVER THE WORLD!

Need I say more?

Wondering when I was an edgelord.
While I do think that would be interesting (and pretty awesome considering all things recent), I don't think it'll happen. I think the closest to making a story up for Smash 4 we're gonna get is imagining a story in our heads and pretending while we play, setting up matches based on the events in our personal story ideas.

If such a feature were to make it in, though, I would be all over it. implementing my epic fanfiction ideas into the real-life Smash game? Awesome. I don't think it'll happen, but I would LOVE if it did. Wouldn't keep me from actually writing it all the same so I could share on Fanfiction.net though. Being able to recreate my actual fights in the game though is possible now....All we need is the rest of the Brawl cast (I honestly don't really care who gets in past this point anymore, though I'm still hoping for two certain characters) and I'd truly be able to recreate the fights of my fic into a real, visual, Smash Brothers battle. It wouldn't be exact, but imagining things is one of my favorite things to do.......Plus I can always find certain times and places to pause for dialogue and I'm shutting up now before I get too carried away.

Sounds more like Dissidia's Original Quest mode, which allowed players to make their own campaigns, including dialogue.

Well, the Smash Bros. section on fanfiction.net would stop being as active as it is, that's for sure.
Oh lord Arceus above, do NOT remind of that section! Almost NOBODY on there can seem to do ANYTHING but Yaoi, Yuri, horrible high-school AUs, humanized Pokemon AUs, or worse, parody the Subspace Emissary. I swear, there are so few good Smash Bros. Fanfics that sometimes I feel like the only GOOD writer on there.

And what's worse, 90% of the stories that ARE interesting, are either, A; Eventually cancelled before the end/Never finished for no good reason, or B: Are purposely made with WAY too much dark themes and/or out-of-characterness. Same applies for Smash Machinima.......*eye twitch*
Sounds more like Dissidia's Original Quest mode, which allowed players to make their own campaigns, including dialogue.
? Could you perhaps eleborate on that? I'm aware of Dissidia, just not the specifics of it beyond maybe one or two things........

Yeah, I'm on board with this, and I really liked the feature in Dissidia 012. Heck, I'd like the Wii U version to have this too.

Here's a little thread that explains a little bit about how it works:

Wow, that's actually really cool! Yeah, I'd love for Smash to have that!

You know, I just realized that if Square Enix tried, they could probably actually put Dissidia on the 3DS. Off-topic moment(Sorry!), but it came to mind.

I'd rather see it on Vita, maybe PS4 too, as a cross-buy game.

In terms of how this feature could work in Smash Bros, I have an idea of how it could work. I also feel it's especially fitting considering Amiibos.

You'd be able to set up matches using all of the options available, including Special Smash modes. You'd also be able to include Smash Run matches.

Character customisation would come into play. We've already seen to some extent how character customisation is going to work, and it actually draws some parallels with Dissidia 012. You leveled up characters in Dissidia, you customised their equipment, and you customised their moves. In the Quest Creator, you could set these variables for the player and the CPU characters. So they could literally take that element straight from Dissidia, since customisation very similar to what was seen in Dissidia already exists in the new Smash Bros. You got your customisable moves, leveling up Amiibos, and customising equipment. So you could easily customise these elements in a Story Creator.

Dissidia 012 also had branching paths for custom stories depending on whether or not you win or lose matches. There were also special objectives you could set, that could be mandatory, or simply provide extra rewards. Of course, you could also reward players who beat your story with some sweet loot that you may not use. You could only give them what you have stocked, but an infinite amount of people could win the one piece of equipment you set as a reward, for example.

And of course, you could set dialogue, music, some effects (like quakes and lightning strikes), for your cutscenes. That would all be nice.

I'm not counting on it, but a mode like this would be amazing.

*facewing* .....I was trying to make note of how the 3DS is basically the equivilant of the Playstation Portable in a more portable form. the PSP can get graphics slightly better than the 32/64-bit era. the 3DS has GameCube quality graphics.
