CPU freezes every 5 seconds

Help! My CPU freezes for a second every 5 seconds! What shall I do?
I can not play games on it because if I run a game it freezes 3 seconds every 3 seconds and it is annoying. Plus, while its frozen, it wont take any comands in game. If im not in a game, while its frozen it takes comands but and the mouse moves, but the rest wont move. Can someone tell me what its problem is and how I can fix it?
