Ofcourse you remember the underground levels from most mario games. the ones where the level automatically scrolls to the right, i think it would be good, so as to motivate the players to be constantly on the move. more action this way too.

i especially had in mind the first underground level from super mario world on the snes. the one in donut plains i think? whatever, anyway.

Thoughts?

I guess it'd be ok, but if they put too many of those d**ned holes in a stage like that I'll be pissed! MK stages are annoying to me.

well, didnt see that one., but the one you mentioned were for adventure mode, not a normally playable stage for multiplayer. and plus, this stage is almost like an exact rip from the game itself, with the tiles and the enemy placement, and the tubes, and stuff, pits also. and lowering and rising cielings an dfloors, but doesnt necessarily need those things. just the scrolling part.

If they made it 8-bit, I would love it. What if the damage meters/life counters changed to SMB-styled as well? And kept Goombas and Koopas in, basically making it a straight replica of stage 1-2. I expect more retro stages this time around, with the resurgence of Pit and the VC.
