Convince me that DK isn't a stupid character

I swear, half the time I try to do a Punch combo that **** ends up cancelling itself and ends up with me getting owned. Can someone tell me how NOT to do this "advanced technique"? (Giant Punch Cancel)

Otherwise I'm just gonna think this just some random factor.

Sometimes it happens to me too, lol. And some other times it seems it doesn't notice I've pressed Z like 20 times and it does random punches :x

some times its hard to not do these things online...this is where ever 2-3 frames of delay become noticeable..

i find myself doing standing lasers with fox (which is obviously dumb) all too often for the same reason
