Hi, I think you're talking about getting less than one frame of lag on LCD monitors as it wouldn't be surprising for CRT monitors. (for CRT monitors, see this thread)So Miom guys were talking about less than one frame of lag on crt monitors. How would you go about setting that up with a wii and a crt monitor. They mentioned some sort of adapter or converter?
I've ordered this one, for what it's worth: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Reta...1080P-Output-Upscaling-3-5mm/32480628640.htmlHi, I think you're talking about getting less than one frame of lag on LCD monitors as it wouldn't be surprising for CRT monitors. (for CRT monitors, see this thread)
I think you're refering to the following article:

I personally own one of those setups fizzy talks about. I use the C&E component to hdmi converter which I cannot recommend. I get blackouts around every 5-10 minutes.
So my current setup is wii with component cable goes to C&E converter goes to ASUS VG248QE. I would recommend buying the sewell wii to hdmi or the Neoya Wii2HDMI converter instead of the C&E one because of the blackouts.
EDIT: I think what causes the blackout-issues is the poor-quality power adapter that came with the converter. The blackouts stopped after I used a different one. Unfortunately, the voltage of that one is too high so I'm ordering a new power adapter with the correct voltage, hope that works.
Otherwise I think the setup's great. I recorded my monitor side by side with a CRT using a 60fps camera and there seems to be barely any difference. maybe i'll upload video of that.
I already thought about buying one of those but I didn't so far because in the comments of fizzy's follow-up article he tested one cheap random other wii2hdmi adapters and it had huge amounts of lag and I doubt any of the voters cared about that. But I may as well give it a go. Gonna buy myself one of those prepaid credit cards and order it.I've ordered this one, for what it's worth: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Reta...1080P-Output-Upscaling-3-5mm/32480628640.html
At 6$ and 4.8 stars average vote, I expect it to work just as well as the "genuine" Wii to HDMI adapters. Drawing the DC directly from the Wii is a big plus imho.
