controller lag

I finally started playing smash online with a working controller, but it seems like it responds significantly slower than on the console, and than with the keyboard. I tried setting the deadzone to 0%, but it still feels that way. Does online smash just run slower than console? I'm not lagging, I always get about 60fps.

there's delay when you play online, it can't be helped
however, the delay may be reduced if your ping is lower
ping is determined by the distance from your location to the server's location; also, having a good connection helps too
