Controller illegal question?

ok so I spray painted and designed my own gamecube controller, I was wondering if anyone knew if it's illegal in tournaments to use a controller that has changed the analog stick and c stick to wii pro controller sticks, no mods on the controller just wanted to change out the analog stick and c stick.

Thank you!

Not positive but I'm quite sure as long as there are no mods then you should be fine. The control stick thing seems borderline to me however since the size of the control sticks will change and will therefore affect how they move. Ask the people running the tourney, it's up to them after all.

many rulesets I've read allow for different sticks from ps3 controllers and nun chucks.

To be honest, until you've reached a level considered relevant by the TOs, it doesn't matter.

Even when you DO reach that level, it pretty much never matters.

My advice is to not even bring it up or make a deal about it and just bring it and play and even if a TO sees it he won't really care.

The only kind of illegal controlling modding that I know of are things like setting a jump button to do nothing but Short Hops. Things like that.

Changing the way the controllers looks, switching the sticks, even taking out the springs in the GCC should all be fine.
