I have had the worst luck with the white japanese controllers. I have owned four of them, three of which I kept and the other I sold to a friend, and all three of the ones I have owned have had the same issue. It seems like at some point, the analog stick mechanism refuses to read inputs at random intervals. For example, when dash dancing, it's like the controller refuses to read the next input of the Dash Dance, making my character continue their original direction. I have also noticed the dead spot in certain aerials or other general situations where I need to input a direction from the analog stick.

Has anyone else had these issues? Since the mechanism is soldered to the board, it doesn't seem like it would be an easy fix, if fixable at all. This is generally the point when I go out and buy a new controller, but even with the new smashball controllers, I haven't had luck with those joysticks either for different issues. Can anyone offer me some guidance?
