I've been running into this issue from time to time and it really stood out to me when using my taunts.

So, last night I was playing with a friend and after defeating him, I pressed on the right D-pad to taunt. Interestingly enough, the text that came up wasn't the one registered to the right d-pad [I feel slutty]. It was the taunt from the left [I'm Sorry Ms. Jackson].

It is as if the game registers the input parallel to that button. This happens a lot when I do pivot grabs as well. Most commonly, actually.

I'll dash and pivot grab (or attempt to), and for whatever reason, my character would f-tilt instead of grabbing. I'm using the Y-Button to grab as I changed up my controls for that.

Anyone out there having a similar issue?

Yeah, happens with me too. Pivot Grab is failing because the grab button acts like the Z button, where you can sometimes shield and use smash attacks with it as well. No idea why it does this, but you could try doing Pivot-Shield Grabbing

Yeah, I've been doing that sometimes. I just prefer pressing that one button like I did in Brawl and PM.
