So, I'm running into this weird issue. My grab button sometimes attacks instead of grabs. And before you think I'm ******** and think I have my attack mapped to that button, no, that is not the case. If I stand still and press the button, I grab just fine, same as when I'm dashing. But if I try to do a pivot grab, I end up doing a pivot f-tilt instead. And if I hold down, I do a down tilt with my grab button almost every single time. I've even tried and I got the timing down to do a down smash with my grab button, it's really weird.

I am using a Classic Controller Pro, with A as attack, B as special, XY as Jump, L as Shield and R as grab. Vice versa for the other shoulder buttons.

That just means you're not pressing grab and turn at the same time, but are inputting the turn before the grab. The grab needs to be at the same time as you tell your character to turn, not after it.

Holding down and grabbing is supposed to dtilt. Only when you press grab after a dtilt, while still holding down the whole time, will you do a grab,

Ah, never knew that the grab is supposed to dtilt. Seems odd they would do that, but okay.

I had figured it was a timing issue, but since I couldn't do a single pivot grab, I wanted to ask. Thanks much for the help!
