Considering a character switch...

Hey guys, I'm considering switching from Sheik to Falco and I want to know whether or not this is a good idea. For the record, I've played Sheik exclusively for about two years now. I'm simply stating that so you don't think I'm that one guy with a new main every week. I do have a solid grasp on fundamentals.

Here are my reasons for wanting to switch:

• Better neutral
• Better options out of shield
• More recovery options (And the fact that you have really low landing lag if you're forced to recover on stage)
• Overall better kill power, especially on the ground
• Bigger conversions off of smaller openings
• Better matchup spread
• The ability to pressure shields
• Sheik lacked a useful shorthop and dashdance, Falco has both of those.
• I never had a real reason for picking Sheik as my main in the first place now that I think back to it.

Things that may keep me playing Sheik:

• Better conversions off of throws with guaranteed followups, chaingrabs, and/or techchases
• Better offstage game
• Less gimpable recovery (though it still is predictable due to the lack of options)
• Shino Stalling
• Better mobility

You have to decide what you like more, playing spacies or fighting them.

I don't really we're the people who decide for you. I'd say you can maybe pick up some basic falco tech, try him out, see if you like him more than sheik and if you really want to switch.
