This is pretty humorous if you look at it this way: King dedede heard how OP diddy kong was on the internet, and being the perfect life form he is, he cannot possibly lose. However, being a semi-villain and all, he is not above bandwagoning and abandoning his team to put his face on the banner of the winning team. King dedede in a nutshell.
